Informativa sulla privacy di Duely
Ultimo aggiornamento: 7 ottobre 2026
In breve
- Account (facoltativo): indirizzo email e identificativo utente.
6.1.b GDPR).
- Sicurezza e funzionamento tecnico dell'app (legittimo interesse, art. 6.1.f GDPR).
I tuoi diritti

Duely privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Duely is an app to keep track of bills, subscriptions and installment payments. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and what rights you have.
Data controller
Martina Venasco — contact: duely.app@gmail.com
In short
- Without an account your payments stay only on your phone, encrypted. We never see them.
- With an account your payments are also saved in your private online space, so you can find them on other phones. Only you can read them.
- In shared payments (optional) you share a single payment only with the people you invite to it: nothing else of your data.
- Duely does not connect to your bank, does not move money, shows no ads and does not sell data.
Data processed
- Payments you enter: name, amount, due dates, frequency, payment method, notes and the history of payments you mark. On the phone they are stored encrypted (key in the Android Keystore) and are excluded from Android's automatic backups.
- Documents and text you import (PDFs, photos of bills, shared emails or notifications): they are read on the phone to find the amount and the due date. The document stays attached to the payment only if you keep it: it is made smaller (photos compressed, large PDFs keep their first pages) and stored encrypted on the phone; with an account also in your private online copy. You can remove it at any time from the payment's card.
- Account (optional): email address and user ID. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication (Google) and are never known to us. With "Continue with Google" we only receive your email and ID from Google.
- Online copy of your payments (account only): stored in Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase) on servers in Europe, readable only by your account, together with the documents attached to your payments.
- Shared payments (optional, account only): if you share a payment or join one with an invitation, the payment's name, amount, due dates, who pays and the shares, the name you use, the history of payments and repayments and the proofs of payment you attach (photos or PDFs) are stored in Cloud Firestore and are visible only to the people taking part in that payment. An invitation is a code valid for 14 days that contains the payment's name and the inviter's name: anyone with the code can join, so share it only with the people who split the payment with you.
- Duely Pro purchase: payment happens through Google Play. We only receive the outcome of the purchase, never card details.
- Technical data: to know whether Pro features are free, the app queries Firebase Remote Config, which uses a random installation ID. Reading text from photos uses Google ML Kit on the phone, which may send anonymous performance statistics to Google.
- Reminders: notifications are created on the phone (or in the browser, in the web app); due dates do not leave the device for this.
- Spending (money already spent): amount, description, category, date, payment method, notes and the receipt if you attach one. Treated like payments: on the device and, with an account, in your private online copy.
- Camera (optional): Duely uses it only after your consent, only while the screen to photograph a bill or a receipt is open. The photo is read on the device and isn't sent to us; it stays attached to the payment only if you keep it. You can withdraw consent in Settings → Privacy and in the phone's or browser's settings.
- Web app (duely-app.com/app): without an account your data stays in your browser's storage on that device (not encrypted by Duely: the device protects it). To read text from photos in the browser, the reading programs (Tesseract.js and jsQR) are downloaded the first time from the jsDelivr service, which like any website receives the device's IP address; photos are not sent. Sign-in and the online copy use Firebase (Google) as in the app.
- Duely Pro as a gift: if Duely's administrator gives you Pro, your email address is saved in the list of gifts (Cloud Firestore), readable only by her and by your account; it is deleted when the gift is revoked.
Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the app features you choose, including account and sync (performance of the requested service, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Security and technical operation of the app (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Handling the Pro purchase (performance of a contract) and legal obligations.
Providers
Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC for Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Remote Config), Google Play (distribution and payments) and ML Kit. Google acts as a processor under its data protection terms; any transfer outside the EU relies on GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses / EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Retention
Data on the phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Account data stays while the account exists: when you delete it, the online copy of your payments, the attached documents and the account are erased immediately and you leave all shared payments. History already recorded in a shared payment stays visible to its other participants, linked to an anonymous ID, while that payment exists; whoever shared it can delete it with all its data; backup copies in Google's systems are overwritten within Google's technical timelines.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, data portability, and object to processing by writing to duely.app@gmail.com. You can export all your payments at any time from Settings → Backup and restore, and delete your account in the app or by following these steps. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Children
Duely is not directed at children under 14.
Changes
